Dad this was such a good read! Actually there were quite a few stories I hadn’t heard before…like the policeman chasing you in Singapore, male modelling in Perth (hahaha!!), becoming a Hari Krishna….great stories, loved it! By the way you don’t have a low IQ, under 70 is considered low…..80-120 is average range!! Love ya Dad xxxx

thanks Mike, I missed a lot of sleep the other night when I started reading…. Well written, and the photos compliment it. Loved the way you honoured your parents. Your life became an adventure and a challenge… I always wanted to do that stuff - and to a degree i did you have inspired me. May have more time now….. that we are in lockdown, again.(to write something - I always felt I could not because my travel diary and camera got stolen) Never thought Covid would come so close, and so fast. Far North in lockdown) We are vaccinated - and completly at peace. So our kiwi horse won the Melbourne cup - hope you are skiting love. Mary

Hi Mike, hope your doing well Just finished reading your biography, what a blast. Such adventures Ive visited those places in Africa, as you did yourself. Great times, and you arrived in South Africa as i was leaving. The photo of Paula in march of '73, i left in May that year having spent 3 yrs on the African continent, heading home via Mauritius, seychelles and through India again. I hope your well Mike, certainly could be better, but your very positive as always. And all those jobs you've had, even working on the railway (Punchbowl??) Take care buddy Mike

Hey Skins, Started reading your story on Friday night and just finished it tonight Saturday. You missed your profession mate you should have been a writer—that was an epic! The trip through Africa was a best seller and the “life and death” experiences made you the great guy that you are. My big regret is that we lost contact for so long and were travelling similar paths that were actually not that distant from each other especially the WA period but one of my greatest joys is that we have been able to connect again. The gift of life works in mysterious ways. A truly great read mate and your consideration for your fellow human being shines through. God bless ya bro. Legs.

Gidday Mike, Just finished reading your, at times, harrowing tale of your travels. You should have written a book years ago. I know you had told me bits and pieces of it in the past but, bloody hell! They don't make them like you anymore! Well done for finally writing it down. Take care. Cheers Unk
