BUILDING BUSINESSES
Having started up more than 36 businesses now..........starting up a business (for me) has become second nature.
But starting up a SUCCESSFUL, ONGOING, GROWING and THRIVING business...... is another story..........(often ....with different priorities)
The basics for starting any business ...is....'find a need and fill it' .....or ....'create a need and fill it'
There is a great deal of opposition today....so exposure is paramount.....but fortunately there are dozens of platforms avaliable to freely promote your product or service ie instagram. pinterest, facebook, linkedin, and so forth.....all of which can freely promote your product at no cost
i.e... one of the best ways to start an online business......is to ....give everything on your website away for free......
for example....if its realestate in a particular locality.....provide all the information one would be looking for......for free......everythings free.....extensive .....well set out website, and all the information on it is free .......
The income will come later (dont be in a hurry)......what your wanting is volume of people coming to your free website....and if its free ''word of mouth' will start to work for you......for example...youtube iniitially was just a free platform, to put videos on,...facebook was a free platform......instagram.....and many other sucessful businesses started off with no strings attached
Later on you can attach affiliate etc. websites to your site (i will explain this later on).......but the building, function and look of your website need to be the best in town. To do this, copy a successful website....just do what they are doing....build it like they built it.....simple
One of the greatest things you can learn is to copy people..................nothing wrong with that...,they will be chuffed that you want to copy them , and you will be enlightned and informed at very little effort and cost........you know, the Japanese became one of the most successful countries in the world after their defeat in world war two....by simply copying products....slight modifications (to meet copyright resrictions)...and then...making a superior product......just 15 years after the war, they were one of the wealthiest countries on the globe.....simply by copying
You know, i had learnt every building trade by the time i was 30......even plumbing and electrics......by simply ......finding out what the rules and regulatons are (which is very easy with google. today, and all the wealth of informatioin that is avaliable today.....and their are literally hundreds of videos on youtube that you can access at anytime......AND THEY WILL LITERALLY SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT)..... and simply apply and learn those skills until you are capable.........
lets look at concreting for instance
what i did was.... build my own footpath first (at my house) taking particular attention to do it according to the way a concreter would do it.....and do a great job.......or often, i would do a neighbours place ...for free (making sure i copyied the local concreters...... in every aspect) .Many people who would walk on that path afterwoods, would employ me to do theirs. "oh can you come and do ours" i often heard people say.......honestly, its takes you about 2 weeks and your in the groove......and thats most building skills. I have several friends who are now competant sought after builders, who i employed, them having no building skills whatsoever, but today are sougt after
